TRON designated GreatVoyage-v4.8.2.4 as a mandatory java-tron update for node operators, with changes aimed at execution consistency in rare cases and smart-contract data handling at edge cases.

Posted Oct. 22 under the codename Empedocles, the release focuses on consistency and stability in rare cases. It also targets smart-contract storage and metadata handling in edge cases. Both changes are associated with issue #7053.

Available JAR files are GPG-signed, and the release includes instructions for checking their signatures.

The preceding mandatory update, GreatVoyage-v4.8.2.3, was published Sept. 30 under the name Anaxagoras. Its changes covered smart-contract storage access, BN128 pairing performance and parsing JSON responses generated by nodes. The previous mandatory java-tron upgrade covered that release.
