Centrifuge Adds Optional Smart-Contract Rules for Tokenized Funds
The V3.3 policy applies at the pool level, with examples that delay some changes for 48 hours or seven days.

Centrifuge added an optional smart-contract policy to its tokenized-fund software in V3.3, giving individual pools a way to encode investment mandates and limits on certain actions. The feature adds pool-level controls to a multichain fund system that has supported $3.5 billion in tokenized assets under management.
Released Sept. 29, the Onchain Execution Policy lets a pool define rules for how certain actions are handled. In one example, routine actions within preset limits proceed immediately. Adding a venue, asset or counterparty is delayed 48 hours, while changing the policy is delayed seven days. Those waiting periods are examples, not universal settings.
The policy is optional for each pool. Pools without one are unaffected, so the update does not require every fund on Centrifuge to use the controls. Because the policy operates at the pool level, its rules apply to an individual pool rather than setting one policy across the whole system.
The feature adds controls to modular fund infrastructure that reached production scale with V3.1 in February. Centrifuge’s multichain design places fund accounting, pricing and permissions on a central hub, while connected blockchains handle issuance, transfers and redemptions.
The system has supported $3.5 billion in tokenized assets under management across 13 chains, with 45 tokenized assets issued and 11,900 cross-chain transactions settled. These figures describe the broader multichain system; the new policy is an optional control for individual pools.
