The Arbitrum Foundation published operating rules for its Arbitrum Developer Guild Friday, Oct. 23, and named Offchain Labs its first member, laying out how the program will route revenue to core technology contributors.

Under the rules, 3% of income from priority gas auctions and sequencer fast data streams on Arbitrum One goes to the guild, along with 2% of the Arbitrum chain’s net protocol revenue. Those percentages apply to separate revenue categories specified in the rules.

Guild membership is by invitation. The program was proposed in January 2024 alongside the Arbitrum Expansion Program. While Offchain Labs remains the sole member, it will receive the guild’s existing funds and subsequent allocations.

The Foundation said the arrangement could encourage Offchain Labs to focus more on increasing revenue for the Arbitrum DAO and reduce the amount it requests from the DAO in the future.
