Initia halted its Layer 1 network and rollups after blockchain monitor Spreek flagged a suspected minting exploit that it said had enabled about $2.6 million in cash-outs.

Initia said it had paused its L1 and rollups while investigating the incident with security teams, validators and exchanges. The team is assessing the scope across those paused services and will share verified updates through official channels. It warned users to avoid unofficial links, messages and unconfirmed claims.

The alleged activity involved multiple tokens minted without a stated limit. The Ethereum address linked to the attacker held about 1,102 Ether (ETH), valued at roughly $2.65 million. A wallet on Initia still held assets worth about $4.54 million: 3 million iUSD, 920,000 USDC, 400,000 AUSD and 95 ETH.

Initia posted its pause notice on Oct. 24, but the announcement gave no restart date or confirmed total for losses and recovered funds. The investigation remains underway.
