Yakovenko Says Solana Should Optimize for Five Products
He named Phantom, Pump.fun, Fomo, Jupiter and Kamino as priorities, but gave no data showing each meets both of his stated criteria.

Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko outlined a product-first approach to network optimization, naming five products ahead of infrastructure groups while citing assets under management and retail volume as key measures.
Yakovenko said products with substantial assets under management and retail volume should receive the most attention in network optimization. Separately, he named Phantom, Pump.fun, Fomo, Jupiter and Kamino as priorities over validators, developers, market makers and core engineers.
His post gave no figures, measurement period or thresholds for assets under management or retail volume. It also did not establish whether each named product individually meets both criteria or rank the five against one another.
The comments came two days after Solana activated Alpenglow on mainnet. The consensus protocol governs how validators agree on transaction order and finality. Alpenglow targets finality in roughly 150 milliseconds, compared with about 12.8 seconds under TowerBFT.
Yakovenko did not connect his list to Alpenglow or outline a specific protocol upgrade, funding allocation or change to validator rules.
