GMO Coin warned customers of suspected unauthorized trades involving automated trading tools on GMO Internet servers and urged account checks, saying it had so far found no unauthorized activity in GMO Coin customer accounts.

GMO Internet confirmed that a third party installed malicious software in some customer server environments. The company said 26,739 servers may have been affected and information stored on them may have been viewed.

GMO Coin advised customers to review trading records, positions and balances, enable passkeys and login notifications, and delete API keys they no longer use or recognize. OANDA Securities also delayed some withdrawals after a hosting security incident.
