NEAR Co-Founder Says Intents Has Added Nasdaq and NYSE Stock Venues

Polosukhin described a hypothetical order routed through a Nasdaq counterparty and said NEAR deployed its first post-quantum signing curve in July 2026.

NEAR Protocol co-founder Illia Polosukhin said NEAR Intents is integrating with Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange, extending his description of the protocol from crypto trading toward traditional stock markets.

He described Intents as a general transaction layer that looks for counterparties to fulfill user requests. In a stock example, Polosukhin said a counterparty could buy shares on Nasdaq, tokenize them and deliver them to a user’s wallet. The example was hypothetical, rather than a description of a completed trade.

Polosukhin said the project first focused on chain abstraction, routing crypto transactions across blockchains, before extending the concept toward stocks. He described Intents as seeking counterparties across markets so users can submit a request without needing a preexisting onchain trading pair for every asset. He said more counterparties with different strategies could join as demand grows.

Polosukhin also described natural-language prompts as a future stage. Software agents could divide a broad request into smaller tasks, such as sourcing building materials and obtaining land. He cited a request to build a skyscraper in New York as an example of a goal agents could break down. He separately gave hotel booking as an example of a transaction request outside cryptocurrency.

In a separate part of the discussion, Polosukhin said NEAR deployed its first post-quantum curve to mainnet in July 2026. The scheme, Dilithium, is standardized as ML-DSA. He said NEAR’s account model allows cryptographic keys to be added or rotated, and Meteor Wallet lets users upgrade an account to the signature without moving assets. He said adding a cryptographic curve to the account model takes about 200 lines of code. Polosukhin also identified ML-KEM as another standard in NEAR’s plan and said Chrome had been updated to use it. He described the mainnet deployment as one step in a broader plan to add cryptographic systems.
