Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko floated an early concept on Saturday, Oct. 24, that would use stake-weighted validator pricing of tokenized collateral to support new Solana (SOL) issuance.

Under the idea, validators would price the collateral and SOL could be minted against it. Profits would be taxed to increase network revenue.

Solana already uses stake-weighted validator votes to select a block when competing forks arise.
