Oracle introduced Fusion Agentic Applications on Oct. 26, adding AI tools for finance, human resources, supply chain, sales and service to handle delegated work under organizational controls and approvals.

Employees can assign tasks to AI agents through the applications. Fusion Companion selects and coordinates the workflows, approvals and agents for each request. Actions remain subject to an organization’s controls and approval requirements.

The applications are separate from Oracle AI Agent Studio for Industry Applications, an industry-focused AI agent platform announced Oct. 21. That earlier offering gives customers and partners tools to create, test, coordinate and manage agents for workflows spanning Oracle Industry Applications and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. The industry platform gives customers tools to control agent access, evaluate agent behavior and track usage.

Oracle plans to bring the industry platform to U.S. customers within 12 months of its Oct. 21 announcement. The company intends to expand it to other supported Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Enterprise AI regions after the U.S. rollout.
