Anthropic Adds Fundraising and Governance Tools to Claude for Nonprofits
Built with about 30 nonprofit organizations, the plugin is available at no extra cost to nonprofits on Claude Team and Enterprise plans.

Anthropic released a Claude for Nonprofits plugin Oct. 26, adding grant research, proposal drafting and policy tools for nonprofits using its Team or Enterprise plans. The plugin was developed with about 30 nonprofit organizations and is aimed at small teams managing multiple responsibilities.
More than 25,000 nonprofits use Claude, and over 75% of those organizations have fewer than 10 seats. The plugin is installed automatically for nonprofits on Team and Enterprise plans at no additional cost.
Fundraising features can help teams research donors, foundations, companies and open grants, with cited sources in research results. The tools can review requests for proposals for eligibility and requirements, draft proposals from an organization’s own materials, prepare grant reports from internal materials and write donor updates in the organization’s voice.
For internal governance, organizations can map where they keep donor records, grant files, financial information and policies. Claude can then use that context in later tasks. Staff can also ask whether a planned use fits their organization’s AI policy. Administrators manage access and connected services, and nonprofit data is not used to train Anthropic’s models by default.
The plugin adds to Anthropic’s nonprofit offerings, which include discounts of up to 75%, connections to Blackbaud, Candid and Benevity, and a free AI Fluency course developed with GivingTuesday. Verified nonprofits in low- and middle-income countries can receive a roughly 90% discount that brings standard Team seats to $3 per user per month.
Anthropic also plans to expand Claude Corps through a partnership with Taproot. Separately, Claude Corps is placing 1,000 early-career fellows across at least 400 U.S. nonprofits.
Anthropic has scheduled webinars for administrators and staff using Claude for Nonprofits on Nov. 10 and Nov. 12.
