Filecoin highlighted reports that major manufacturers are reportedly allocating high-capacity hard-drive output through 2028, while saying its network has storage capacity online as AI demand grows.

Filecoin is a decentralized storage network where users rent out unused hard-drive space in exchange for Filecoin (FIL) tokens. The network uses a peer-to-peer system for data storage.

The hard-drive supply gap is projected to widen by 2027.
