Binance said Oct. 27 its security team blocked multiple cyber threats linked to North Korea during the previous week, with no damage to company systems or asset losses. The company also warned that a North Korea-linked social engineering campaign remains active.

Binance calls the operation “Contagious Interview.” It said the activity may involve settings such as job interviews, coding tests and software installation. Binance also urged users not to install unauthorized software or run code from unknown sources. It also recommended secure AI tools and data-storage platforms.

The exchange said its ongoing security work includes monitoring, threat identification, risk prevention and internal security management to protect its platform and company systems. Binance said the incident underscored the need to maintain security defenses and improve employee awareness.
