Securitize CEO Says AI Agents Need Tokenized Assets and Stablecoins

Domingo made the case in an Oct. 22 podcast appearance. Securitize had more than $5 billion in assets under management in the third quarter of 2026.

Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo argued in an Oct. 22 appearance that AI agents will need tokenized assets and stablecoins to deploy capital, putting blockchain-based financial products at the center of a software-driven finance thesis.

He announced no new products during the appearance.

A tokenized asset is a digital representation of a traditional holding, such as a stock or fund, recorded on a blockchain. Stablecoins are digital dollars that move across blockchain networks. Domingo’s broader argument was that these assets could give software agents financial products to use as they deploy capital.

Securitize had more than $5 billion in assets under management in the third quarter of 2026. In early October, it rolled out tokenized versions of 12 U.S. stocks, including Apple, Nvidia and Tesla. Around Oct. 20, the company announced partnerships with Anchorage Digital Bank covering stablecoin minting and custody.

The comments add an AI-agent use case to Securitize’s tokenized-stock push. Questions to watch include how much trading volume the 12 stocks attract, whether the Anchorage partnerships generate meaningful stablecoin activity, and how regulators will treat agents that hold or trade tokenized securities for people or firms.
