Stable plans to activate mainnet version 1.9.0 on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 5 a.m. ET (9 a.m. UTC), with changes aimed at improving network reliability and strengthening protocol security.

The upgrade is scheduled for block height 45,091,000. Its stated focus includes the infrastructure used for transaction processing and payment settlement.

Operators using Stablevisor or Cosmovisor should complete preparations at least 24 hours before activation. For the scheduled activation time, that means completing preparations by 5 a.m. ET on Oct. 30. Operators using neither tool must replace their node binaries after their own node reaches the upgrade height and stops.
