Google Begins U.S. Rollout of Gmail-Based Chrome Autofill
The Gemini-powered feature can suggest order numbers, tracking information and flight bookings on desktop, Android and iOS.

Google is beginning a U.S. rollout of Chrome autofill that can surface order numbers, tracking information and flight-booking details from Gmail as eligible users fill out online forms.
The feature uses Gemini with Personal Intelligence. Its U.S. rollout includes desktop, Android and iOS for people who have enabled Personal Intelligence in Gemini in Chrome. In Chrome settings, users can manage enhanced autofill and choose what information it can access.
“As always, sensitive data is encrypted and you remain in control,” said Amanda Lim, Chrome product manager.
The Gmail feature builds on earlier additions to Chrome’s autofill. A 2025 desktop expansion added passport and driver’s license numbers, along with vehicle information such as license plates and vehicle identification numbers, for users with smarter form understanding enabled. In June 2026, Google announced mobile autofill enhancements and deeper Google Wallet integration.
