Hyperliquid Plans to Pause Stop-Price TWAP Orders During Breaches

Orders could resume if the mark price meets their conditions again before the original execution window ends. The current rule ends the remaining schedule after a breach.

Hyperliquid plans a network upgrade to revise stop-price TWAP orders, pausing the schedule after a breach and allowing it to resume if the mark price again meets the order's conditions within its original window.

Today, a breach ends the remaining order schedule, forcing the trader to submit another order. Under the planned change, a paused order could restart if the mark price again meets its conditions before the original execution window closes.

For example, a two-hour buy order with an $80 ceiling would pause if the mark price reaches $81. If it later drops to $79 before that two-hour window expires, the order could resume. The same behavior would apply to a sell order with a minimum price.

TWAP lets traders divide a large transaction into smaller executions spread across a chosen period. On Hyperliquid, order periods range from five minutes to seven days, and the minimum order value is $100. Under the planned rule, the stop price would pause remaining executions, while the original duration would still limit how long the order could resume.
