Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has launched its Digital Trade Solution (DTS) for eligible securities on Canton and its private Besu network, a tokenization rollout that does not use Ethereum mainnet.

The network distinction is important: Canton and DTCC’s private Besu network are the launch venues, while Ethereum mainnet is not part of the rollout.

Ethereum mainnet is not part of this particular service rollout. That distinction matters to institutions tracking adoption claims around Ethereum’s public network.

DTCC provides clearing and settlement services for securities and oversees safe, efficient asset transfers, placing DTS within traditional financial market infrastructure. The service is active for eligible securities on its named networks, making DTS a live tokenization offering. DTCC’s DTS is live for eligible securities on Canton and its private Besu network, without a deployment on Ethereum mainnet.
