Fortune Names 60 Cybersecurity Startups to 2026-27 Cyber 60 List
The roster has 24 newcomers. Armadin co-founder and chief offensive security officer Evan Peña claimed AI could scan more than 10,000 externally facing systems at a Fortune 500 company within hours.

Fortune's 2026-27 roster spans three growth stages and 60 venture-backed startups, while an Armadin co-founder at its Oct. 28 launch claimed AI could scan more than 10,000 externally facing systems within hours.
The list includes 20 companies each in the early-stage, early-growth and growth-stage categories. Twenty-four companies are newcomers, including 16 in the early-stage group. The Cyber 60 is an unranked roster, not a measure of cyberattack activity or security defenses.
Lightspeed evaluated more than 300 cybersecurity startups using annual recurring revenue, current- and prior-year growth, business operations, nominations, research and market analysis. Fortune reviewed and validated the final list.
At a New York Stock Exchange event on Oct. 28, Peña said, “I definitely think the attackers are winning right now.” Peña said an AI system could check over 10,000 internet-exposed machines at a Fortune 500 company in a few hours.
