Crypto influencer 土澳大狮兄 said 18,270 Bitcoin (BTC), valued at about $1.4 billion, was taken from Binance and may be difficult to convert into cash quickly, potentially limiting immediate selling pressure from the coins.

He argued that fewer mixing services can handle large Bitcoin transfers, while many centralized exchanges require strict identity checks and may cooperate with efforts to freeze funds. Improved blockchain tracing adds another obstacle, he said, making it harder to move and sell the coins without detection.

Even if the BTC can be moved through those channels, 土澳大狮兄 said the process could take a long time, require a steep discount and leave the funds at greater risk of interception. He said those hurdles mean the coins may not become a near-term source of market selling pressure.

Binance co-founder He Yi replied to the post: “We will pursue it to the end.” The influencer framed the potential market impact around the shrinking number of channels able to handle large amounts of Bitcoin and the growing ability to trace on-chain transfers.
