1inch Blocks Binance-Linked Addresses, But 1INCH Tokens Cannot Be Frozen
The addresses were blocked from 1inch’s app, wallet and API within an hour. Some assets taken in the Binance incident were 1INCH.

1inch said it blocked addresses linked to the Binance theft from its decentralized app, wallet and API within an hour of the incident, while stolen 1INCH tokens remain impossible to freeze.
1inch’s risk management team coordinated with ZeroShadow, SEAL 911 and TRM Labs to identify the addresses. The team continues adding newly identified addresses and sharing them with blockchain parsers and integration partners.
Some assets taken in the Binance incident were 1INCH. The token uses the standard ERC-20 format and has no freeze or blacklist function, leaving no token-level control to stop transfers.
1inch also said it had contacted Binance to offer support. Its response applies across 1inch’s products: it can restrict identified addresses from its decentralized app, wallet and API, but cannot immobilize the tokens themselves. Blocking access to 1inch services does not remove assets from an address or prevent those tokens from moving on the network.
