Gate CEO Calls for Crypto Security Alliance After Binance Incident
Dr. Han proposed shared preventive standards, intrusion detection rules and emergency response procedures for crypto firms.

Gate founder and CEO Dr. Han called Friday for crypto firms to form a shared security alliance after a security incident involving Binance, saying coordinated safeguards could help the industry rebuild trust.
Han outlined three areas for shared rules: preventive security standards, intrusion detection and emergency response procedures. He framed crises as opportunities to restore confidence and set stronger expectations across the industry.
Han also pointed to Gate’s earlier push for industry-wide on-chain proof of reserves. He said Gate began that effort six years ago and described transparency as a baseline for crypto firms.
Earlier Friday, Han said Gate’s security team had completed a review and found the platform unaffected. He said user assets were safe and deposits, withdrawals and trading were operating normally. Gate’s on-chain reserves remained available to query, he said.
Han said Gate was tracking addresses tied to the incident and would freeze related fund inflows immediately. He also offered Gate’s security team to assist Binance.
