Pi Network Adds Four Product Updates as Pi (PI) Falls 13.77% in 30 Days

Pi Network announced four product updates Oct. 29, adding tools for app developers and identity checks as its native token, Pi (PI), traded 13.77% lower over the prior 30 days in an early Friday snapshot.

PI was priced at $0.07751 against the U.S. dollar on OKX at 12:43:28 a.m. ET Friday (4:43:28 UTC). The same snapshot showed a 1.28% gain over seven days and a 13.77% decline over 30 days. Those measurements cover different lookback periods and do not show whether the product changes affected demand.

The redesigned Developer Portal brings app controls into one interface, grouping domain settings, API keys, app wallets and privacy information. Pi BlockExplorer now displays historical prices for Launchpad Testnet tokens, including SLICE, relative to Test-Pi. The explorer feature currently covers test tokens, giving users a record of how those assets have been priced over time.

The Launchpad Testnet tokens will never move to Mainnet. Price tracking for future Mainnet tokens is planned after that functionality is released.

Developers can also use a new AI-assisted SoloHost skill by giving a compatible AI assistant an app’s public Docker image. The assistant generates and validates docker-compose.yml and config_options.yml for the app. SoloHost apps can reach Pi Network’s network of more than 420,000 nodes. A previous Pi Desktop update added optional remote access for supported SoloHost apps, allowing users to reach apps running on their computers through Pi Browser without changing router settings or opening ports.

PiVerify is expanding third-party identity checks with face-uniqueness screening and multiple liveness checks, building on capabilities used in Pi’s KYC system. Pi Network said third-party clients’ payments in Pi for PiVerify services “create additional utility for Pi and help expand the broader network of verified individuals.” The announcement provided no client names, client counts or payment totals.

The product update included no usage or adoption figures showing whether the new features have increased demand for PI. It documents expanded capabilities across app configuration, test-token monitoring, hosting and identity verification, while the scale of any resulting activity remains unquantified.
