Binance expects to resume withdrawals in about 45 hours as its investigation into a security incident has identified additional possible entry points, extending a suspension that has stopped funds from leaving the exchange.

Binance said Friday that its initial inquiry focused on a laptop that may have been compromised, but the investigation has since found other potential routes into its systems. The company described the incident as a complex attack and said it is coordinating with law enforcement while investigators continue checking the facts.

Binance said it has worked with partners to freeze about $3 billion in affected assets. The withdrawal suspension halted outflows, while deposits remain available.

The exchange said its Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU) and company funds will cover all losses, and that user funds remain safe. Binance expects to restore withdrawals in approximately 45 hours and plans to share further information through its official channels after details are confirmed.
