Binance Expects Withdrawals to Resume in 45 Hours as Security Probe Expands
Deposits remain available, and Binance says about $3 billion in affected assets has been frozen with its partners.

Binance expects to resume withdrawals in about 45 hours as its security investigation identifies additional entry points, prolonging a service halt that prevents customers from moving funds out of the exchange. The exchange said the restart remains on its expected timetable.
Initial findings indicated that a compromised laptop may have been involved in the incident. Later investigation uncovered additional intrusion points, and Binance described the attack as complex. The new points extend the inquiry beyond the initial laptop finding as Binance’s review continued.
Binance said it is cooperating with law enforcement and will cover all losses with its SAFU fund and corporate funds, while maintaining that customer assets are safe.
After Binance suspended withdrawals, outflows stopped, the exchange said. Binance and its partners have frozen about $3 billion in affected assets. Deposits remain available during the halt. For customers, the 45-hour estimate means withdrawals remain paused for nearly two days.
