Binance co-founder He Yi said an additional $14 million tied to the attacker’s Aave position may be recoverable, offering a fresh recovery update in the Binance theft case.

She said $60 million in collateral on Aave was not within the scope of a full freeze. The attacker had taken only $46 million in Ether (ETH), she said, and unlocking the relevant funds through law-enforcement channels could make a further $14 million in coins recoverable.

Separately, LlamaRisk plans to use Aave’s Risk Steward mechanism to lower borrowing caps in major lending markets before a phased release on Aave V3 and V4. The change would cut unused borrowing capacity by about $3.7 billion on V3 and $130 million on V4.

LlamaRisk said the attacker still holds large amounts of Ether, stablecoins and governance tokens. The cap cuts aim to prevent the attacker from using remaining borrowing room to build a large position in the first blocks after the markets reopen.
