In an Oct. 30 statement, Gulf Binance Co., Ltd. said digital assets held for Binance TH customers remained safe, pointing to segregated cold wallets and a dedicated custody arrangement. The company said Binance TH paused digital-asset deposits and withdrawals for security checks, while other services remained available. Gulf Binance also described Binance TH as an independent legal entity.

Binance’s Oct. 30 update put preliminary total impact from the security incident at about $6.3 billion. The exchange said the on-chain freeze had reached roughly $3 billion so far and pledged to use its Secure Asset Fund for Users and company funds to cover losses. The $6.3 billion figure is a preliminary impact estimate pending investigation; it does not establish a final net loss. CZ previously discussed the frozen funds and Binance’s remaining shortfall.

Binance later said deposits were operating normally, with withdrawals still paused. It set a target of restoring withdrawals within 48 hours.
