The proposed payouts would be capped at each partner’s fee contribution, while remaining revenue could still support the Superchain’s existing buyback program.

The Optimism Foundation submitted a governance proposal Thursday, Oct. 29, to return part of the sequencer and priority fees generated on OP Mainnet to partners that bring key commercial activity to the network.

The proposed rebates would be paid in Ether (ETH), with each partner’s payout capped at the fees it contributed. The proposal excludes OP tokens from the payments. Remaining revenue could still support the Superchain’s existing buyback program.

Separately, Uniswap’s Unichain mainnet migration to OP Enterprise was originally scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 29, after its testnet migration was completed Oct. 13. The plan called for Optimism to take over production operations.
