OKX social media lead 海腾 invited Whale Alert to contact the exchange for address information after some social media accounts described a 172 million Tether (USDT) transfer from OKX to an “unknown wallet” as a hack.

海腾 said the transfer was an internal funds movement. He said an “unknown wallet” label means on-chain monitoring services had not identified who controlled the address; it does not establish that assets were stolen.

海腾 said OKX had already clarified the transaction through the same social media channel, but some accounts continued to portray it as a hack. He invited Whale Alert to contact OKX, saying the exchange would provide address information to help improve the labeling and reduce confusion about wallet ownership.

A separate 172,175,782 USDT transfer into OKX on Oct. 30 moved in the opposite direction.
