Google’s RoboBallet Coordinated Eight Robots Across 40 Tasks

The research uses reinforcement learning, while Google Antigravity separately features an auto-playing pinball machine and an inverted-pendulum controller.

Google DeepMind’s RoboBallet research tested a reinforcement-learning approach to coordinate task allocation and motion planning, using robots to complete reaching tasks in a shared workspace.

Published Sept. 3, 2025, RoboBallet uses reinforcement learning for robot task allocation, scheduling and motion planning. In an evaluation, eight robots completed 40 reaching tasks in an obstacle-filled workspace. Researchers trained the planning policy in simulation.

Google’s Antigravity is a separate agentic development platform featuring an auto-playing pinball machine and an inverted-pendulum controller. Google announced Gemini 4 Argon on Sept. 30, 2026, with an initial rollout to trusted cyber defenders through the Fairwind Program and broader access to follow. Antigravity is one of the model’s distribution channels; those details do not describe Gemini 4 Argon being used to build a dancing robot.
