Name.com Restores 15 Domains After DeFi Website Redirects
Vercel said 10 affected domains were tied to its platform. Alerts covered at least 12 DeFi sites, a separate count from Name.com’s 15 customer domains.

Name.com, a domain registrar, restored 15 customer domains redirected late Friday, Oct. 30, as alerts raised concerns about at least 12 DeFi websites used to access crypto services.
Name.com said all affected domains had been restored and that it had taken steps to secure the accounts involved. The company is investigating the redirects.
Vercel said 10 affected domains were connected to its platform, that Name.com had restored them and that it was helping investigate.
Name.com said the redirects were part of an effort to reach visitors’ crypto wallets. Blockaid’s initial warning described a potential front-end attack at Flap and Kintsu. Blockaid’s follow-up named 10 additional websites as actively serving Step Drainer, software designed to trick users into approving wallet transfers.
The warnings concerned project websites. Several affected teams said their on-chain contracts had not been affected. The alert tally and Name.com’s domain count have different scopes.
