SOON Foundation suspended the bridge linking svmBNB with the SOON mainnet after it identified abnormal withdrawals, halting cross-chain transfers between the systems while it investigates the activity.

The foundation said the withdrawals began at about 7 a.m. ET (11:00 UTC) Saturday, Oct. 31. It detected the activity at about 10 a.m. ET (14:00 UTC) and shut down the bridge immediately, roughly three hours after the withdrawals began.

The foundation said it has contained the bridge and is carrying out an in-depth investigation. The service will stay suspended while that review continues, and the foundation plans to issue further updates later.

svmBNB uses SVM as its execution layer and BNB Chain as its settlement layer, while SOON mainnet is a rollup network built on a decoupled SVM. The bridge connects those two systems, so its suspension interrupts cross-chain transfers between svmBNB and SOON mainnet. SOON is an SVM-based rollup project supported by Jump, Hack VC and Anagram.
