Binance Reopens Bitcoin Withdrawals, Says 95% of Assets Replenished
The first phase covers 15 networks through 4 a.m. ET, with withdrawal routes returning in stages.

Binance reopened Bitcoin (BTC) withdrawals shortly after 1 a.m. ET Sunday, beginning a phased return after the exchange said compromised hot wallets caused an estimated $6.3 billion loss.
The first phase runs through 4 a.m. ET (09:00 UTC) and covers 15 networks. Bitcoin was the first network opened. Binance said other network-and-asset routes would resume progressively after security and stability checks, so the phase schedule does not mean all routes were available at once.
Binance said it had replenished about 95% of the affected assets, up from 90% in its previous update. The figure describes replenishment, not the recovery of 95% of stolen tokens. The exchange said the remaining 5% consists of less-liquid tokens it is still acquiring through market and over-the-counter channels. It also said balances in 10 assets, including BTC, Ether (ETH) and Solana (SOL), were fully backed.
Binance said its hot wallets were compromised at about 4:05 p.m. ET Oct. 29. Deposits remained open while withdrawals were paused, and the exchange said it would publish a post-incident report after its investigation.
