CZ Credits U.S. Agencies With Limiting Bitcoin's Fall After Binance Hack
He thanked the FBI, the U.S. Secret Service and the Internal Revenue Service for helping trace and freeze funds after the Oct. 30 hot-wallet attack.

CZ credited U.S. law enforcement agencies with tracing and freezing funds after Binance’s Oct. 30 hot-wallet attack, saying their work helped keep Bitcoin (BTC) from falling further.
He named the FBI, the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in expressing his gratitude. CZ said a short post could not convey his thanks and that many crypto users may not realize how much the agencies helped.
The FBI identified North Korea as responsible for the theft. Binance said Oct. 31 that it had replenished about 90% of the assets affected by the incident.
CZ had previously said Bitcoin fell less than traditional markets during the Oct. 30 selloff in an earlier assessment.
