Symbiosis Works to Block Attempt to Move Binance Stolen Funds

The protocol has contacted Binance and says fast, complex activity can expose a gap in its transaction screening.

Symbiosis said it detected an attempt to move funds linked to the recent Binance attack through its cross-chain protocol. The team is working to block the transfer and has contacted Binance, placing Symbiosis’ response alongside the effort to stop movement of the stolen assets.

The protocol said its current screening system is designed for normal transaction flows. It acknowledged a monitoring gap when activity is fast and complex, and said it will strengthen its checks gradually. The update identifies a weakness Symbiosis says it is addressing: screening that may not catch rapid, complicated operations.

Symbiosis also told users with transfers still pending, or transactions rolled back by mistake, to contact its team for review. The guidance covers both types of cases while the team works to block the transfer tied to the Binance attack.

The attempted movement adds a live cross-chain dimension to the Binance theft, while Symbiosis says its monitoring rules need to account for fast, complex activity.
