Treehouse’s community has proposed a contract upgrade for Treehouse (TREE), adding a blacklist that would restrict designated addresses during confirmed security incidents if the plan wins approval.

The measure would let the token contract block certain addresses from transferring TREE or otherwise interacting with it. It is intended as a risk control for confirmed TREE-related security incidents, including hacks or theft, and would operate under existing access-control rules.

If approved, the blacklist would apply to TREE on every network Treehouse supports. Voting on the proposal is open through Nov. 4.
