BNB Chain’s ERC-8004 registry recorded 392,228 agent IDs on Oct. 26, up 15,688 from the prior week. The count tracks identity registrations and does not establish how many agents are in active use.

The counter includes test, duplicate and abandoned IDs. It also does not show whether a registered agent is funded or doing real work.

BNB Chain’s AI-agent stack uses ERC-8004 for identity, x402 for payments and ERC-8183 for agent commerce. The registry figure measures identity entries, not payments or completed agent tasks.

BNB Chain said in July, “the identity base is large but application-level demand, the volume of real work agents pay for, still has to be proven.”
