The plans mark the first time either company has prepared dedicated teams around a U.S. midterm election.

OpenAI and Anthropic plan to establish election “war rooms” to help their platforms provide accurate information about the midterms.

Anthropic had also been preparing state-specific voting guidance for Claude.
