Tether’s QVAC AI software processes touch, force and visual signals aboard Generative Bionics’ GENE.01 humanoid robot, applying on-device artificial intelligence to the machine’s onboard sensors.

GENE.01 debuted as a working humanoid platform in July 2026. The robot has a touch-sensitive covering across its body and processes sensor data onboard. QVAC handles tactile, force and vision inputs on the humanoid itself.

Tether designed QVAC to run AI on device hardware and launched it at the Plan ₿ Forum in Lugano in October 2025. The GENE.01 setup uses the software to process sensor inputs on the robot.

Generative Bionics announced a financing round that included Tether on Dec. 9, 2025. Tether’s individual contribution was not disclosed.

In a separate project, Generative Bionics and Fincantieri plan initial on-site tests of a humanoid welding project by the end of 2026.
