Elliptic Puts Binance Stolen Assets at $3.24 Billion in Linked Wallets
The laundering trail spans 11 blockchains, while about 28 Bitcoin passed through 18 CoinJoin transactions by 1:02 a.m. ET Nov. 2.

Elliptic valued the assets it could still trace to wallets tied to the Binance theft at $3.24 billion as of 2:30 a.m. ET Nov. 2 (07:30 UTC), with Ether (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) making up most of the holdings. The update also put frozen or seized funds at about $2.85 billion.
In less than four days, laundering activity covered 11 blockchains, about 12,000 wallets and more than 40,000 transactions, Elliptic said. The scope places the movement across multiple networks, with transactions unfolding in a short period.
A separate reading at 1:02 a.m. ET Nov. 2 (06:02 UTC) counted about 28 Bitcoin moving through 18 CoinJoin transactions. The roughly 90-minute gap means that mixing count predates the broader asset and wallet figures.
Elliptic said only a very small amount of the stolen funds may have been converted to cash so far. Its analysis found no evidence that AI agents participated in decisions about how to move the assets. Together, the figures give a snapshot of both the remaining balance and the cross-chain reach of the transfer trail.
