Solana Mainnet Beta Reaches 1,000 Days Without a Full Halt
Q3 2026 completed non-vote transactions rose 23.3% from Q2 2026, a separate measure from the Nov. 2 uptime milestone.

Solana’s Mainnet Beta cluster reached 1,000 days without a block-finalization halt at 4:53 a.m. ET Nov. 2 (9:53 a.m. UTC). The milestone measures time since the start of the network’s last full cluster halt, not uninterrupted service at every part of its ecosystem.
The interval began Feb. 6, 2024, at 9:53 a.m. UTC, when the cluster stopped finalizing blocks. During the failure, validators entered a repeated program-compilation cycle while replaying transactions, preventing consensus from advancing. The problem involved the LoadedPrograms cache, and consensus resumed about five hours later. The count does not establish whether every validator, remote procedure call (RPC) provider or application remained available throughout the period.
Completed non-vote transactions totaled 8.78 billion in Q3 2026, compared with 7.13 billion in Q2 2026, a 23.3% increase. The measure counts completed transactions but excludes validator votes and transactions that reverted. September’s count was 3.18 billion, up 8.3% from August’s 2.93 billion. These activity figures cover Q3 and September, while the uptime milestone came in November; they do not show that the activity increase caused the milestone.
A separate routing failure at Teraswitch on Aug. 12 affected customers at 13 of its 31 sites, including locations hosting Solana validator and RPC nodes. Nearly 29% of network stake went offline, while block production continued. Full recovery came 33 minutes after the first alarm.
Jacob Creech, Solana Foundation vice president of technology, described the network’s response: “Despite this challenge, blocks kept being produced and transactions continued to land.”
