Apple CEO John Ternus said Monday he could not forecast when iPhone Duo supply would meet demand, a post-launch update on the availability of Apple’s $1,999 foldable phone.

“Duo is constrained as of today,” Ternus said in an interview. He gave no date for when supply and demand would balance.

Apple opened U.S. preorders Oct. 16 at 8 a.m. ET (12 p.m. UTC) and began making the phone available Oct. 23. The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for 256GB of storage and has a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner display.

Ternus did not identify a production target or a specific supply bottleneck. TokenPost previously covered expected limited store stock and preorder delivery estimates before the launch.
