Google Labs product manager Gozde Oznur said Google expanded its experimental Dreambeans app to India on Monday, Nov. 2, giving it a market beyond the United States for the first time.

Dreambeans turns information from Google services a user chooses to connect into illustrated story collections. The reported India version offers 14 language options: Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, Nepali and English.

Users can connect Gmail, Calendar, Photos, YouTube and Search history, then change those connections or delete their Dreambeans data. The app can draw on information in multiple languages, but generates each story in one selected language. It does not yet combine languages, Oznur said.

Oznur said India stood out for the overlap in use of Gemini, Gmail and Google Photos. “No other country really ranks on all three,” she said.

Google’s public FAQ continues to identify the United States as Dreambeans’ supported market for adults. Google opened access to eligible U.S. accounts age 18 and older on Android and iOS on Sept. 10.
