DeepSeek’s web chat and two model APIs suffered partial outages at 3:58 a.m. ET (08:58 UTC) Nov. 3, 19 days after a similar disruption lasted nearly five hours.

The affected services were web chat, V4 Pro API and V4.1 Flash API. At 4:06 a.m. ET (09:06 UTC), DeepSeek marked all three interruptions as partial and said it was investigating. The company had not announced a cause.

The previous major outage began Oct. 15 and affected the same three services. It lasted nearly five hours. DeepSeek apologized afterward and granted API users credits equal to their spending during the previous seven days. The company also pledged a full review and said it would remove single points of failure from its systems.

In September, DeepSeek consolidated its three chat modes into V4.1 Flash and reduced its API lineup to V4.1 Flash and V4 Pro. Both APIs were again among the services marked partially interrupted Nov. 3.
