The network averaged about 109 million such transactions a day. The count excludes validator votes and includes activity such as trades, transfers and payments.

Solana recorded roughly 3.3 billion successful non-vote transactions in October, its sixth monthly high in a row, as activity averaged about 109 million transactions per day.

The metric excludes validator vote transactions, which validators use to coordinate agreement on the network’s state. The remaining activity includes trades, transfers and payments. Monthly totals rose from 2.93 billion in August to 3.18 billion in September.

Network capacity changes and demand both contributed to activity. Slot times were reduced from 400 milliseconds to 250 milliseconds, and block compute limits increased. Decentralized exchange trading, stablecoin use and on-chain payment flows also supported the tally.

Transaction counts measure activity, not economic value. High-frequency trading and bots can increase the total without necessarily reflecting new users; the tally does not show how many distinct users were behind the transactions.

Estimates can vary with counting methods. Solana’s third-quarter successful non-vote total ranged from 8.78 billion to 8.92 billion across analytics platforms, which differ in how they handle failed transactions and validator votes. TokenPost’s earlier explanation of Solana’s transaction categories describes how those measures are separated.
