Revolut Makes GLM 5.3 Its Default AI Model for About 2,000 Engineers

The setup uses about 56 Nvidia B200 GPUs at a blended cost of about $0.30 per 1 million tokens. A coding-time metric improved about 60%, while a task-delivery measure improved about 70%.

Revolut has made GLM 5.3 its default AI coding model for about 2,000 engineers, a shift AI operations lead David Abitbol said cut costs to about one-tenth of previous levels.

Revolut began self-hosting GLM in April 2026 and now runs GLM 5.3 on about 56 Nvidia B200 GPUs. Its blended cost is about $0.30 per 1 million tokens, Abitbol said.

Before the change, Revolut set a $300 monthly Claude Code allowance for each engineer. Claude Code and Codex are now mainly reserved for more complex coding tasks, he said.

Internal company measures showed about a 60% improvement in a coding-time metric and about a 70% improvement in the period from taking on a task to delivering it, Abitbol said.

With tokens no longer limited by a monthly allowance, engineers have also begun using AI to search internal documents, handle Jira tickets and find requirements in Slack.
