Binance founder CZ said artificial intelligence could accelerate crypto attacks as hackers adopt the tools, urging the industry to build AI defenses as attack frequency rises.

Attacks that once appeared roughly monthly or less often may now happen weekly, CZ said. He also said four crypto trading platforms were hit in separate attacks Monday, Nov. 2.

CZ said thefts can seem unlikely before they happen, leaving details easy to overlook beforehand. He said enough attention and effort can prevent security incidents and that each event can provide lessons.

He urged wider AI use in defense, saying the industry should build its capabilities while the technology is still developing instead of waiting for it to reach full maturity. He said technology and security capabilities will continue to evolve.

CZ also linked investment in the technology sector to growth in demand, technology use and market adoption, which he said need to advance together.
