An X post credits Mistral Large 4 with Orbital Trace, which it describes as a live, three-dimensional tracker for satellites and orbital debris. The post gives no details about the model’s role or where users can access the software.

Mistral AI made the model’s weights downloadable Oct. 29 under its modified MIT-style Ecosystem Open-Weight License. Developers can run the model independently, while businesses that offer it as a service need a separate commercial license.

The weights’ availability widens the group able to experiment with Large 4, but there is no central record of outputs from independent runs. The post does not explain how the tracker was built or how much work the model performed.

A browser demonstration pairing Large 4-generated chemistry software with a 3D visual interface showed one way the model could be used to create an interactive tool. The Orbital Trace post provides no comparable account of the build or access to the software.
