1inch Launches Aqua on Base for Wallet-Based Liquidity Strategies

Users can create positions without requiring a pool or lockup. The 1inch DAO previously approved $400,000 for Aqua strategy development.

1inch has launched Aqua on Base, where users can create wallet-based positions for shared-liquidity strategies without requiring a pool or lockup, alongside DAO-backed funding for further Aqua development.

Aqua positions are set up directly from users’ wallets. 1inch aggregates decentralized exchange liquidity to route token swaps across venues. The launch brings the product to Base, while the DAO’s incubator separately funds development tied to the 1inch ecosystem.

The 1inch DAO approved a $436,000 budget for its Aqua incubator on March 8, 2026. Of that amount, $400,000 is for developing strategies and SwapVM instructions, with the remaining $36,000 designated for program stewardship. Teams can apply on a rolling basis for up to $50,000 each through the DAO’s Aqua incubator.
