Sei SIP-6 Vote Clears Quorum With 46.63% Staked Participation
About 1.906 billion Sei (SEI) was weighted in favor, with no votes against, as the vote was scheduled to close Nov. 5 ET.

Sei’s SIP-6 governance proposal has cleared quorum, with staked participation at 46.63% as of Nov. 3, advancing a proposed change to how the network assembles blocks.
About 1.906 billion Sei (SEI) was weighted in favor, with no votes against. The participation figure topped SIP-6’s 33.4% quorum requirement.
SIP-6 is part of Sei Giga and would let active validators package transactions concurrently on separate channels, replacing the single-node packaging model. Each validator would maintain its own lane of proposed transactions, while a rotating leader selected by stake would order references to certified blocks from those lanes. The design has ordering, data availability and execution proceed in overlapping stages, using validators’ combined bandwidth and reducing reliance on one block producer for transaction inclusion and sequencing.
The proposal is intended to support higher-throughput on-chain order books, including those for tokenized stocks. The vote follows Sei’s draft Autobahn plan. Mainnet activation still requires a public testnet and multiple rounds of security audits. The vote is scheduled to close Nov. 5 ET.
