By Nov. 4, a “Family Basic” label had surfaced in ChatGPT’s web checkout configuration, raising the possibility of household access that OpenAI has not announced.

The checkout entry lists no price, feature description or confirmed number of people covered. It does not establish that OpenAI plans to launch the option.

OpenAI has announced no household subscription, and neither its pricing page nor help articles list one. ChatGPT’s consumer lineup includes Free, Go at about $8 per month, Plus at $20 and Pro at roughly $100 to $200 or more per month. Those plans are intended for individual use.

OpenAI’s Business plan provides multi-user access on a per-seat basis and requires at least two seats. The checkout label does not specify how household access would work or what features it might include.
